Wilden Renate

Once started as an illegal club in a former residential flat on the utmost southeastern tip of Friedrichshain, the Wilden Renate has by now become a legal member of the Berlin techno scene. In a living room atmosphere you can party endlessly; in the summer the lovely spacious garden is open as well so you can chill. And if you are early enough, you can also dive into an inimitable labyrinth.

Sole disadvantage: the door policy of the Wilden Renate is erratic and seems completely arbitrary. Where in Berghain there still seems to be some reasoning behind the admissal (or not) of guests, the bouncers in this club are moody and fickle. Indeed: it is one of the very few clubs where I have been rejected multiple times.
