Saint Jean

A gay bar without a darkroom is almost an anomaly in Berlin, but that is probably also what makes Saint Jean (in the heart of the city, close to the Friedrichstadtpalast nowadays) so sympathetic.

This is one of the few places where you can actually have a proper talk, flirt at the bar and have a look at the mostly good-looking crowd. Drinks (mostly cocktails) aren’t cheap, but delicious. It can get uncomfortably busy, so dress lightly.
