Karl Liebknecht Stadion

A stadium with such a name can only be found in the former eastern part of the city, in this case geographically in the southwestern corner in the Potsdam suburb. In the cosy Babelsberg district, mainly famous for its movie studios, the stadium is located at the edge of a forest, in the Karl Liebknecht Straße of course.

SV Babelsberg 03, a cultclub, is the home side. The supporters are politically left-orientated, the atmosphere always relaxed (except when Stasi club BFC Dynamo is visiting) and the quality of the football always atrocious. Despite that, it is a must-see for football fetishists, if only for its foldable floodlights.
