HAU Theater

HAU is an abbreviation for Hebbel Am Ufer, a complex of three theaters, from which the one in the Stresemannstrasse (/HAU 1) is the most well-known.

Since 2004 the HAU is one of the powerhouses of contemporary theatre, in an already crowded space with for example the Maxim Gorki. If you don’t care too much about plays: the cosy theatre (known as HAU 1) is worth a visit anyways for its architecture, a grand theatre venue that you don’t see so often anymore.
