Hafenbar

The Schöneberg gay scene is not renowned for its progressiveness. Anyone entering the Hafenbar immediately realises why: corny music, and a relatively old and rather bored audience that is too lazy to leave its own neighborhood.

It’s a pity, because the Hafenbar could be cosy and pleasurable to visit. Especially the small stairs in the back, where people can sit side by side drinking a cocktail, is a perfectly relaxed spot to have a chat. And in contrast to most of the other bars in the area, I couldn’t discover a cruising zone yet…
