The Wuhletalweg is a refreshing, surprising experience. Between the socialist Plattenbauten built in the seventies and eighties, the cute Wuhle river curves its way through this part of town. Sometimes along overground gas transportation lines, sometimes through beautiful stretches of nature.
The route is mostly unknown to tourists, which is great news for those who take the time to discover its beauties. From its starting point close to S-Bahnhof Ahrensfelde a varied landscape unfolds, with beautiful vistas over town. Besides the uglier stretches mentioned earlier, there are some real gems as well, such as the Gardens of the World, who are worth a visit on their own as well. The 15 kilometer long road ends in Köpenick, where the old city centre can be a great place to end the trip.
