Tempodrom

In the chaotic years after the fall of the wall, the Tempodrom was still a circus tent to be found near the Reichstag (and before that even at Potsdamer Platz). That couldn’t last forever of course. After smart negotiations with the city council, the management was allowed to move to the area of the former Anhalter Bahnhof, where a beautiful new building was constructed.

The budget was exceeded heavily, but it was worth every penny: the wigwam-like white roof shines in the Berlin night, the circular main hall has the ideal size for gigs for upto 4000 visitors and the perfect acoustics to match the greatest performances.
