Tegeler Forst

Overige, Parks | Geen reacties

It’s not officially a park, this Tegeler Forst, but it is a part of Berlin often overseen. And that’s not entirely justified. The Tegel neighborhood and the accompanying forest (Forst) may be full of pensionados, that has a reason as well: the Tegeler See (lake) is a great place to spend some summer time. No hip beaches with cocktails, just tour boats and a kiosk for ice cream.

From the U6 Alt-Tegel stop you walk to the harbour in five minutes. From there you can go north, cross the old bridge, towards the forest and return along the water’s edge. Great walk of around three hours, expandeable with a visit to the local castle.
