St Hedwigs Kathedrale

You don’t even have to be religious or a fan of churches and cathedrals to cherish the St. Hedwigs. To the contrary: the building is relatively small, unpretentious and almost sweet, a huge difference to other religious buildings.

The cathedral is tucked away 100 metres from Unter den Linden, adjacent to the opera. From the outside and the inside the cupola is the huge eyecatcher, but inside the renovated building there are plenty of modernist features that distinguish it from your average christian cathedral. It’s also a lovely spot to escape the city center madness and find some time (and a nice place) to contemplate.
