What most people will remember from a visit to this place, is the stand/seating stairs in the rear part, where you can sit and chill. The rest at first sight is everything you would expect from a Berlin hipster bar nowadays: barely plastered walls, second-hand furniture and cool staff.
But Mein Haus Am See refuses to be categorized easily. It is open 24/7, but not as raunchy as similar places with these opening hours. It’s a coffeeshop, bar and club, depending on the hour. And smokers are still separated in another room. Mein Haus Am See is very much herself, quite an achievement on such a busy and touristic location in the city centre.
