Tastes differ. It will undoubtedly be cozy there in the summer, when the locals claim the park at the eastern border of Kreuzberg. But of course it’s a mess, the former railway tracks of the Görlitzer Bahnhof.
That’s of course typically Kreuzberg, including the squatters, illegals, artists, hipsters and wanna-be hipsters. And the run-down looking, overpriced pub near the eastern entrance. You could call them rough edges that belong in Kreuzberg and will not be polished by tourism or big money, but the drug runners flocking around are a real problem for safety and are a phenomenon that the police has been struggling with for years.
