In an industrial area, at the end of a long and high wall, this memorial site suddenly pops up. The wall is part of a youth prison that’s still there. The monument is for victims of the nazi regime, for those who were executed here between 1939 and 1945.
Because of its simplicity and modesty this place deviates from other memorial sites in town. In the inner courtyard is a huge wall, with nothing more than a short remembrance text. Behind the wall you can find the execution room, and a room with more information. It’s spine-chilling to read how random some people met their death here.
