Brücke Museum

Dahlem, Museums | Geen reacties

Far away from the tourist hordes, in the poshy Dahlem area, is one of the nicest museums of the town. The Brücke Museum isn’t huge, and shows the works of Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Fritz Bleyl, Erich Heckel and Karl Schmidt-Rottluff, the founders of the Brücke-movement in 1905 in Dresden.

The paintings are often colorful and abstract. The collection on display is changed regularly, one of the reasons why David Bowie loved to visit the place during his Berlin period.
