Tucked way in the southwestern part of town are its magnificent botanical gardens. Partly because of its location it isn’t exactly tourist attraction nr 1, but for those who love flora and fauna it is a must-see.
The gardens aren’t styled according to a country’s tradition, as is the case in the Garten der Welt. But there are several sections where species that are typical for certain countries are being bred. Piece-de-resistance are the greenhouses, the biggest one even hosts a small rain forest.
